How we make our dentures, and how Precision Dentures are constructed
All Treatments start with a consultation, where we assess the oral structure and listen to your concerns and needs. A treatment plan i constructed and explained in detail, so you understand all the procedures and what it entails.
After we have selected a treatment plan preliminary impressions are taken.
We use Zhermak mixing machine and material to ensure a smooth consistency in our material that is mixed properly.
We use the preliminary impressions to cast models out of which we make customized trays that just fit your mouth, these trays allow us to take more accurate impressions. For full dentures we use a VPS Vinyl Polysiloxane Impression Material to can an accrued impression of the oral structure and ensure optimum fit and suction.
Wax rims are placed in the mouth to establish a proper bite and orientation (occlusion) of the teeth. Patients can then select the size, shape and shade of the teeth for the denture. We will help you to make this selection, but we also recommend having someone who knows you very well help make the selection.
We use Kavo Facebow, this devices lets us record your Upper Jaw in relation to its condyles and transfer it on our kavo articulator
The Kavo Articulator Mimics jaw relationship and the teeth can be set in a balanced occlusion (bite) for optimal functions, reducing lateral forces that cause denture tipping.
In combination with premium teeth that are made from a highly durable nano-hybrid composite material which offers wear resistance far superior to standard acrylic denture teeth. They are extremely natural looking, due to ceramic fillers in the teeth that refract light like natural tooth enamel and the tooth shapes that are modeled on the shapes of natural teeth. These are the highest quality denture teeth available from Ivoclar Vivadent. We can create a life like smile to last.
Try-In: This is a critical step in the denture process. We will construct a mock-up of your denture, which includes the teeth set in wax, to make sure you are happy with the colour, look, fit and feel of the denture. If any changes are desired we can make them at this stage and schedule additional try in appointments and will not proceed to have your denture finished until your satisfied.
Processing the dentures, or turning them from wax varies and we use the latest technology in injection.
